Do knowledge and wisdom go hand in hand? - Ansaroo.
An ever persistent question that we have been asked is, what is the difference between knowledge and wisdom. Indeed, the difference is quite obvious in the sense that a knowledgeable person may not be wise in many ways. I would say that knowledge is more of an intellectual thing as in IQ, and wisdom is more of an exercise of judgement based on an emotional response tempered by years of real.
Most people that attend post secondary schools often do so to acquire knowledge in order to advance their careers, while others go through continuing education in order to simply expand their current knowledge, and then, there are those who study philosophy in religion to obtain higher spiritual wisdom. In taking this class, I am participating in philosophy, on a quest to obtain higher.
Wisdom books along with the Wisdom literature of other cultures move with in an ambience of the religious, in general, but not overtaken by a religious outlook. Proper fear of the lord is an often theme in Wisdom. What you find in Wisdom often doesn’t have a necessary connection to religion. For this reason, these books appeal to the agnostics of today. This Wisdom also appeals to agnostic.
Knowledge is learning, the power of the mind to understand and describe the universe. Wisdom is knowing how to apply knowledge and how not to apply it. Knowledge is knowing what to say; wisdom is knowing whether or not to say it. Knowledge gives answers; wisdom asks questions. Knowledge can be taught, wisdom grows from experience.
An intelligent person without wisdom always tries to flaunt their knowledge without thinking about the situation. Even though we say that a person gains wisdom through the experiences he has had in his life, age cannot determine the wisdom of a person in general. We have seen great young leaders who had both knowledge and wisdom.
Many people mistake knowledge for wisdom because they are intimately related, and this is unfortunate because they are quite different in an important way. Knowledge is the accumulation of facts and information. Wisdom is the synthesis of knowledge and experiences into insights that deepen one's understanding of relationships and the meaning of life.
Since these are related, I find it helpful to define them. I will try to do so in a way that's not circular, though I suspect I can't be 100% successful at it. knowledge - a person's correct view of facts. An incorrect view my be experienced as.
